EMI KURTOVA
Emi Kurtova is a photographer developing in visual and applied arts. She works in the fields of photography, painting, cinema and sculpture.
Born in 2000 in Petrich, she begins doing street photography at the age of 12 inspired by her father. In 2019 she enrolls in the “Photography” bachelor program of New Bulgarian University where she also attends ceramics classes. In 2021 she works as the camera operator for the short film “Colors” directed by Denitsa Ganeva which was presented at Columbia College Chicago. During the summer of 2021 she is the organizer and producer of the “Amnesia” music festival that took place in Petrich. In 2021 the National Culture Fund financed Emi s visual project “Self-portrait” where she combines photography, painting and sculpture.
