Summer Cocktail

 … Pour yourself a drink, preferably a fresh cocktail with a pink umbrella and a blue straw, give yourself a well-deserved break and time starts to flow differently…

To stay in the midst of summer in Sofia and to experience the sea emotions and good mood, Art Gallery Serdica presents the exhibition “Summer Cocktail”. For all connoisseurs of contemporary Bulgarian art the curators Diana Draganova-Stier and Sonia Kovatcheva have “mixed” artists, creative approaches, styles, techniques and artistic materials – united in the colorful palette of summer and the topic “Summer Cocktail”.

During the summer everything is colorful, reminding us of a sea adventure, a passionate adventure or an unforgettable holiday. All aromas are saturated and bright, the senses are heightened and through them we are transferred to the season that evokes many memories of unforgettable trips, beach parties and hot summer nights, says Diana Draganova-Stier.

From July 27 to September 3, 2021, at Art Gallery Serdica with a provocation for the sea breeze we will be able to enjoy the artworks of the painters Georgi Ruzhev, Rositsa Getsova, Sasho Stoitzov, Svilen Stefanov, Ivan Kiuranov, Krasimir Dobrev, Leda Starcheva, Kiril Katsarov, Sonia Kovatcheva, Deyan Yanev. Many of the artists have created artworks specifically for the gallery space that have not been shown before. Through the prism of personal style and vision, some of the artists will present themselves with three-dimensional sculptures of different materials, installations and objects, while others – with paintings, collages and drawings.
